Wow, I just read an interesting article about a young lady that is practicing yoga poses on horseback.
As one who enjoys and appreciates the benefits of a yoga practice, I was fascinated to learn how Angela Nunez has taken her practice from the mat to horseback. The gift of quieting one’s mind translates to the horse – they relax and soften instantly she says. This seems a wonderful way to deepen the communication with your horse. Think I would start with savasana (corpse pose)
Angela is a 200 hour registered yoga teacher and lifelong equestrian.
Note: It is very important to have someone on the ground holding the horse when attempting any of the poses.
