Has Spring Fever Hit at Your Farm?

It has at mine. Love the opportunity to get outside and smell the scent of fresh cut grass.  The daffodils, tulips and lilacs are blooming. The lilacs are covered with butterflies visiting on their journey. Always amazing how such fine delicate creatures travel so far.

It was time to make my “To Do List”. Yes, checking fences was near the top. I have the “CAMEO” and Maxi Grunt Electric line combination up front where the lines are run through the 2” round predrilled white vinyl posts. The back of the property is edged with woods and there I used electric line on SunGuard Posts. Cattle grazing in pasture surrounded by safe fence line and postsThe composite posts would have worked as well.

Had an Oops earlier this year when the electric fence energizer stopped working. A Cyclops Energizer that was quickly back from repair and ready to go. The fence line has been walked, connections checked, any growth and fallen branches removed.  Good to cross this off the “To Do List”

If you are planning for new fencing this year – a measuring wheel to determine footage is helpful. If you don’t want to buy one – check your local rental store.

Happy Spring – Make time to appreciate the beauty of nature that surrounds you.
