HORSE FENCE INJURIES: THE AFFORDABLE, DIY SOLUTION
AFTER DECADES OF TRIALS, HORSE OWNERS THRILLED WITH THE CAMEO SYSTEM.
Horse owners like us are traditionalists, but after installing fencing for decades and as some of the most respected and trusted folks in the business, we couldn’t stop thinking about the distress and expense of lacerations, torn muscles, and broken bones from traditional horse fence injuries. We’re sure you have seen your share, too. Tangled in smooth wire, run through a board fence, landed on a t-post… Fence injuries are truly a nightmare.
We looked at the problem from the perspective of the horse, a flight animal. She can be amazingly smart, but she gets scared sometimes. She doesn’t have the best vision, but she’s extremely sensitive. She panics at times, and when she runs, she runs fast. What if a fencing system was visible, safe, effective in containment, and didn’t hurt her? What if we could contain and protect her with absolute reliability and also keep her from harm?
After decades of trials with the Cameo system, we and thousands of other traditionalists are convinced: it works exceptionally well, it’s safe, and it’s amazingly durable and affordable. Our exclusive system is NOT “horse tape.” It does not sag, warp, or crack like many “looks kinda like Cameo” predecessors and “similar” systems. Only Cameo is Cameo.
With a 1200+lb breaking strength per line, this is not a fragile system… But it’s flexible, and that’s part of Cameo’s successful formula. The fencing material itself, perfected over time, is even more durable than we imagined. Huge trees land on Cameo, for goodness’ sakes, and (sometimes with minor adjustments) it bounces right back! We love to hear “You’ll never guess what happened but the horses and fences are fine” and “Cameo looks as good as it did 20 years ago” stories from our happy customers - and we hope you’ll share yours with us, too!
Everyone likes the cost - way below vinyl, board, or high-tensile fencing. (Not to mention the savings on vet bills from injuries!) Everyone loves the “DIY” aspect: it’s easy and actually fun to install - no backbreaking lifting and tensioning. No sweating over H-braces or stretching non-climb. It’s visible for your horses but it’s not intrusive. It keeps the look and flow of your land and lets you really see the beauty and movement of your horses. It’s dynamic and adaptable, even working well inside and around existing systems. Best of all, it’s safe: good for our horses, and good for us.
Call us right away to learn more. We answer the phones personally here at Cameo, and we’ll be delighted to speak with you about your horses and your plans.
